Service Desk Controller

The role will be based at our office in Harlow, Annual salary £18K - £20K.

Based in Harlow.

We are a thriving property maintenance company and are seeking a customer service focussed individual to join us and grow with our business. Experience and a track record in a property maintenance service desk, or facilities management helpdesk environment would be a real advantage. You will have experience of scheduling field service engineers, managing their workload, booking client appointments, as well as general administrative duties. A good telephone manner is essential.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Scheduling field service engineer workloads
  • Assisting clients and field engineers with resolutions to queries
  • Taking incoming client & supplier calls within target.
  • Taking incoming tenant calls relating to any property maintenance requests.
  • Logging new works orders from clients, verbally and via email.
  • Liaising with client & engineers to ensure completion within SLA
  • Working closely with management to ensure that KPI's are hit
  • Bookkeeping duties such as raising client invoices
  • General administrative duties.


Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Experience of web based management systems (in particular engineer appointment scheduling software).
  • Experience in a commercial property management environment/Facilities Management or building/construction environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & telephone manner
  • Self motivated with ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective problem solving & organisational skills
  • Ability to complete good quality work to set deadlines
  • Able to work well as part of a small team
  • Possess the ability to remain calm under pressure and not react adversely to tenants or clients.
  • Excellent written & verbal skills
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office - particularly outlook, word & excel
  • A basic geographical knowledge of London and the surrounding areas.
  • Salary dependent on knowledge, experience and shift pattern.
