ASSIST – The Proact Way

To illustrate how we work to potential clients and new employees, we have created Proact’s own code of principles that we call ASSIST.

A (Advise)

 We keep in constant communication, advising both our clients and their tenants on key areas, such as:

  • when our engineers will be attending a property
  • the progress of any work
  • any unrelated areas of concern that are discovered onsite

S (Security) 

Our engineers are easily recognisable as Proact employees because they:

  • carry ID
  • arrive in a vehicle with Proact livery
  • are presentable, wearing a Proact uniform

S (Skilled)

All our engineers are skilled and qualified tradesmen and thus reducing the need for our clients to make numerous calls to different service providers. Our expertise includes most areas of reactive and planned maintenance. With our trades including:

  • plumbing
  • carpentry
  • electrical
  • gas & heating
  • painting & decoration
  • appliances
  • roofing
  • locks
  • glazing
  • general maintenance

If our clients require a service that we do not offer directly, we can also provide and manage, carefully vetted, specialist sub-contractors for facilities such as Aircon and M&E.

I (Information)

We know that every property management company works differently, requiring various levels of information and that is why we can provide:

  • photographs of before and after the work
  • detailed engineer reports for work undertaken
  • detailed breakdown of costs
  • quotations and recommendations on future work
  • bespoke reports (e.g. first time fix statistics)

S (Safety)

We are proud members of many health & safety and quality accreditation schemes, which require us to comply with HSE regulations, and we have acquired the services of Citation, a large health & safety organisation to ensure that we have up to date training and qualifications to adhere to their strict application processes. These schemes include:

  • CHAS
  • Safecontractor
  • Gas Safe Register
  • Trustmark
  • Altius

T (Transparency)

Our reactive maintenance service has a transparent pricing system where we charge for the first hour and then in half hour increments, but only for parts and labour, never for:

  • parking
  • fuel
  • travel time
  • congestion charges
  • penalty notices
  • or anything else that has not been previously agreed

When quoting for larger projects our Project Manager provides detailed breakdowns on the predicted costs as well alternative recommendations
